During Visual Arts, students not only experience drawing and painting, they are given the chance to learn about various artistic styles and experiment with puppet making, clay models, wood craft and assisting with props and sets for the concert.

Performing arts

The Performing Arts program aims to develop the wellbeing and confidence of all students. Each term there is a different focus; drama, music, dance and performance skills. They all participate in the annual school concert at the end of August. Students also learn the theory aspects of Performing Arts and spend time reflecting and analyzing the work they produce.

All students have a 50 minute Science session every week. They follow the AusVELS curriculum through the “Primary Connections“ program, which focuses on topics in the areas of Biological, Chemical, Earth and Space and Physical Science. Students are involved in an inquiry and investigative approach and also learn specific science skills of fair testing, analyzing, hypothesizing and recording results.

LOTE: Chinese

Our students have the opportunity to learn Chinese and aspects of the Chinese culture. For an hour each fortnight, the students are immersed in Chinese language and we have also had Chinese students visit the school to learn more about Australia – we also learnt a lot from them.
